Tom Cawley has been called ‘...a fearless, out-there player, knocking out ragged torrents of cross-idiomatic ideas with an anarchic sense of solo development.’ Winner of many awards - Young Jazz Musician of the Year (1998), Worshipful Company of Musicians Jazz Medal, (2000), and Young Jazz Ensemble of the Year (1998) for his trio. He has led bands at Ronnie Scott’s and New York’s Bluenote Club and played with Alan Barnes, NYJO, the BBC Big Band and others.
