FESTIVAL OF THE SPOKEN NERD: "Life"

Musical comedian Helen Arney, stand-up mathematician Matt Parker and Blue Peter science expert (and comedian) Steve Mould come together to create for you another Festival of the Spoken Nerd.

It's a celebration of science, comedy and unashamed geekiness, with special science and comedy headliners. There will be time for questions at the end, and extra marks are given for showing your workings.

Prior to our Cambridge Science Festival debut on 19th March, we're back at the Green Man with the theme of "Life"

Join Helen Arney, Matt Parker and Steve Mould as they delve into Life, in all its rich and varied forms. Human consciousness, cell reproduction, the ageing process, and whether life is unique to our planet are just a few ingredients thrown into this mixing bowl of comedy, science, maths and music.

A scientific perspective is offered by Dr Matt Baker: poet-scientist with a PhD in how bacteria swim. Jonny Berliner drops by to sing a few science songs and our comedy headliner is the 'sublimely funny' (Evening Standard) Joanna Neary, with a host of skewy characters and sketches.
