JENIFEREVER
Jeniferever, from Upsalla, Sweden, are an experimental lo-fi / post-rock five piece whose melodic and complicated music references the likes of Sigur Ros, Mum and Godspeed. Their music ebbs and flows between guitar riffs and melancholy jazz parts to create an impressive soundscape unlike any other. Debut album ‘Choose A Bright Morning‘ was released on the ultra indie label ‘Drowned in Sound’ to critical acclaim in March. A new single ‘The Sound of Beating Wings’ will be released on June 12th as digital download only, part of the DrownedInSound Digital Singles Club. We are extremely lucky to be play host to this fantastic band at The Peel as part of their extensive European tour.
"It shimmers, it's majestic and it's quintessentially Nordic." - Rock Sound
"... beautifully crafted, beautifully haunting compositions that promise a depth and fluidity beyond." - Artrocker
"... a slightly dazed atmosphere of a more acoustic My Bloody Valentine." - The Independent on Sunday
“A gigantically promising troupe responsible for conjuring this awe-inspiring aural equivalent of a particularly pretty sunrise.” – Gigwise
“Rich, textured sounds around simple, personal songwriting.” – Stylus Magazine

TWENTYSIXFEET
Five men and a computer from North London whose beautifully moody music is a sweet discharge of angular noise, melody and rhythmical panic. TSF are playing this date fresh from their first tour of the nation and to promote the imminent release of mini album ‘Two Hours of Passionless Tango’. The Band recently embarked on a guerrilla distribution rampage, slotting copies of the CD in to the racks of some of London’s top records stores. Their excellent video for single ‘Pocketful of Poses’, directed by Alex Walker of Brickwall films, is currently playing on MTV2 and Kerrang! And well as on the band’s MySpace.
"Fizzing frothing analogue flavoured sound-scapes providing the flight paths for flowing, burning sometimes rushing songs that spiral and spiral and then spiral some more. Not a come down and not a rise up, just floating you out there in it's own clever textured way." – Time Out
“Their music builds to a sci-fi destruction, exploding like the sound of a thousand computers violently crashing.” – Drowned in Sound

NUN OF THE ABOVE
Nun of the Above are a five piece collective from Surrey who make unique, hypnotic and often quite weird music. Much admired on the London gig circuit, their debut album ‘Nun’ is available now and a new four track EP is expected soon. It's often said to be a futile task trying to describe them, and difficult to achieve a full understanding of their sound without experiencing them for yourself so get down early to check them out.
"Inventive and beautifully odd at times" - Time Out
