✈ Love a Locavore's Pop-Up Restaurant - Tapas Night ✈

Recently back from a long weekend in Madrid, with some ingredients stowed in our suitcase, Love a Locavore will prepare you some popular tapas dishes this evening.

A little fact for you - the Spanish word "tapa" means lid, and in times past, every glass of sherry bought in a dusty Spanish bar would come covered by a slice of bread topped with ham, cheese or fried black pudding to keep the flies away from the sweet glass of liquid. Over time, innkeepers realized that if they placed savory and salty food on the plate, the clients would drink more- therefore, "tapa" became "tapas" and moved onto the plate!

Tonight you will be served more than a 'lid' of food, but lots of little dishes so you can get try lots of different things.

If you are anything like us, you will not be a big fan of greasy tapas that can make you feel ‘bleugh’ at the end of the meal so tonight’s tapas will be made with as little grease as possible.

The menu will be something along the lines of:

Canapés:

Salted Almonds
Aubergine Puree with Freshly Baked Bread
Banderillas

Main Course Dishes:

King Prawns in Sherry
Salt and Pepper Squid
Marinated Chicken Wings, Garlic, Lemon and Chilli
Spinach with garlic
Broad Beans and Jamón
Pimientos de Padron

Dessert:

Crema Catalana
Or Selection of Spanish Cheeses

Suggested donation of £28 + a tip for the waitress
