Drifter/Shhh! Promotions are proud to present a stellar double bill:
Guitar legends WIlliam Tyler and Michael Chapman.
William Tyler is a native of Nashville, Tennessee, a town where guitarists are as common as television sets or pigeons. At an early age, he began playing and recording with artists that resided at the fringes of the country and folk vernacular, such as the Silver Jews, Lambchop, and Cortney Tidwell (he's been a member of Lambchop for the past decade).
"The world is crawling with Fahey loving guitar players but ones as good as Tyler are rare"-Dusted
"There are always going to be people like Mr. Tyler, looking for the irreducible essences in American art"-New York Times

Michael Chapman rose to prominence at the height of the UK’s folk rock scene in the early 1970s. He was championed by John Peel and Charles Shaar Murray, appeared on The Old Grey Whistle Test (see the clip below) and had Mick Ronson on lead guitar on his classic ‘Fully Qualified Survivor’ album, one of several releases for the Harvest label.
Michael Chapman has recently enjoyed a renewed appeal and a new audience amongst new lovers of folk on both sides of the Atlantic. He was rediscovered and championed by artists such as No Neck Blues Band and Jack Rose, both of whom he toured the US with.
