4 OR 5 MAGICIANS LAST EVER SHOW!
They've played the Windmill many, many times and now it's onto new musical adventures for this foursme, but before that happens they're going out with a bang.
Plus DJ Joeymahone (Zonino etc) - playing indie rock classics 'til late!

4 OR 5 MAGICIANS at 10:00pm
After 5 years, including 190 shows, 23 members, 3 record labels, 2 Lamacq singles of the week, and 1 critically acclaimed album, the ever transient Brighton alt-rock heroes bow out with one final show, with songwriter Dan Ormsby moving onto as as yet untitled new project which will see the light of day in early summer 2011. The 2009 album tour lineup of Dan, Sam, Ivan and Alex will be performing all of much lauded debut album 'Empty, Derivative Pop Songs', as well as some golden oldies (featuring cameos from original members Jon and Matt), and perhaps even a Replacements or Guided By Voices cover or two.

ACE BUSHY STRIPTEASE at 9:20pm
Birmingham's Ace Bushy Striptease sit a little lonely in the all too small section at the centre of the glorious musical Venn diagram of frenetic punk, twee indie-pop, and good old fashioned summery alt-rock. By the time the gig comes around Bas, Eve, Simon and Jeremy will (quite possibly) have their as yet untitled fourth album in under four years to sell to you, and if it is anything like the ones already out there, it will indeed be ace.

ME AND MY SISTER at 8:40pm
If you saw The Pipettes back in their early days then you'll probably have some idea how much fun the Isle Of Wight's Me And My Sister are. Two actual sisters, Vicki and Becky, now backed by Ross and Luke on bass and drums, play witty songs about boys, Britney, and Bestival (which they were handpicked to play in 2010). Quite possibly the happiest band in Britain, they will leave you (almost as) equally delighted.

THE GENERAL'S WIFE at 8:00pm
A few years back, in the salad days of The Libertines, a band called Dancing Bears were creating comparable havoc around the pubs and clubs of south London, before splitting up in similar circumstances in 2007, leaving (at least) one member with a slightly irrelevant tattoo. By summer 2010 they had long resolved their differences and core members Alex, Beans and Greg regrouped as jovial sleaze rockers The General's Wife, and they come to Brixton to attempt to sex you up.
