PLEASE ( UPSET THE RHYTHM / LONDON )

Prog punk, Psychedelic Surf-sludge and Middle Eastern Romper Stompers that will have you blissed off your chonk! Call it what you like or define them how you will, PLEASE are quite simply one of the most fun and enjoyable live bands making waves in the UK right now.

With an already excellent 10" under their belts on OUSE RECORDS and an even tastier long player in the piepline on UPSET THE RHYTHM, PLEASE are a band who have gone from strength to strength Karate Kid style, having wowed and powed audiences across the UK and Europe now for the best part of 4 years.

Musically, PLEASE clean out the stable of 60s and 70s Psych-Garage, Prog Jangle and OUT THERE rock; sweeping it all up into fresh, gratifying song chunks full of clattering Drums, duelling Guitars and brazen, bravado vocal stylings that are enough to get anyone's pulse soaring.

At first, BEARDS’ sound might point to freethinking post punks such as Delta 5 or The Minutemen, but given a double take - the mostly female trio cunningly blend Punk-Disco with Progressive time signatures, moments of majestic AOR, Beefheart esque stomps and Post Hardcore angles, waylaying any ideas of 'Progness' or 'Punkness' along the way.

In short: FANTASTIC PARTY FUNDER LIKE A BOLT TO YOUR BRAIN!

DESIGN A WAVE ( ALTER RECORDS / LONDON )

DESIGN A WAVE (Or 'DES WAVE' to his pals) is the Skewed and dishelved/other worldy Funk sound of CLECKHUDDERSFAX's Tom Hirst.

Named after a street gang in the TROMA film 'SURF NAZIS MUST DIE', DESIGN A WAVE serves up a pleasingly dreamy mix of Melancholic Synth Pop, Italo Disco Juicy-ness and icey cool Cold Wave sounds shone through white diamond pop nuggets hand picked from a Tropical Island on the Moon.
