+ THE LOW SUNS + BRAINDEAD COLLECTIVE
Presented by: Coo Promotions and Coo Coo Club0 | OXFORD: Jericho Tavern |

P | Saturday 30th April, 2011 |
N | 8:00pm |
Dead Jerichos - an infectiously energy driven three piece post punk outfit from Abingdon, Oxfordshire, grabbing attention with short sharp shock tactics laden with looped, delay-ridden guitars and delivered with skittish intensity by frontman Craig Evans. Hurtling to the top of the pile they are stirring up quite a buzz.

The Low Suns
London based 5 piece influenced by Jeff Buckley, The Flaming Lips, 1940s Gospel and sci-fi soundtracks. An ambitious patchwork of orchestral riffs and cinematic English romance sung to IMAX sized melodies from the heart and soul.

Braindead Collective are Oxford / London kraut-jazz-drone experimentalists featuring members of Guillemots, The Epstein, Keyboard Choir and others who play off kilter electro/shimmering drones and sad sad horns played straight from the heart.
Single 'The Whites of our Eyes' was recorded on the coldest day of a freezing British winter in Oxford’s oldest church St.Michael’s by microphones strategically strewn from pews and rafters, it captures the sound of a band reshaping and remaking the song in response to each other’s improvisations.
"Head-melting synth-fuelled assault that blends savage beats and unsettling grooves to fine effect." Time Out London
