Empire Safari
The Oxford based 3 piece boast an impressive songwriting back catalogue for a band so young. Drawing on a huge range of influences from U2 to Maccabees to Libertines, their indie/rock sound is sure to impress. Previously they've played all over Oxfordshire, then went to Leeds and now they return (with a keyboard player!) for a very special headline slot. Check out the video to 'Output' or listen to the excellent 'Rush' with its shimmering guitars.

The Scholars
The totally brilliant Banbury Interpol/Editors/The National-esque indie rock stars have been involved in a film project that was inspired by their awesome single 'Turbulence'. They have also recently got a record deal and are writing new material. This'll be the last chance to see them in the intimate surroundings of the Wheatsheaf before they hit the festival circuit in the summer. Expect big sounds, big tunes and big melodies; top tune recommendation: 'This Heart's Built To Break'.

Crayon
After playing their first ever gig together at a Daisy Rodgers night in 2009 and blowing us away they soon became one of our favourite bands. This alt-folk-pop band play tunes inspired by Paul Simon, REM, Bon Iver and John Martyn. Let their gentle and uplifting tunes inspire you and make you feel warm inside - check out the excellent 'Consolation'.

Trev Williams
Local legendary singer/songwriter plays acoustic songs from the heart, sung with passion and played with soul. He has recently scored a Nightshift demo of the month with the powerfully political 'You Cut We Bleed'.
