Exotic Pylon Recordings Launch Party

A night of doomed cabaret and screwed melodrama

Starring

Hong Kong in the 60's
Casio Heartache and Radiophonic liquid pop, this UK trio have just released their debut album My Fantoms to great acclaim. Fragile, atmospheric and understated Christopher Greenberg, Tim Scullion and Mei Yau Kan will drop you in to summery melodramas of your own making.

Misty Roses
If H. P. Lovecraft lived on Montague Terrace (in Blue)... Jonny Perl and Robert Conroy are a transatlantic duo living out a cinematic fantasy of dark romance and sci-fi melodrama and as Misty Roses they utilise guitar, electronics and vocals to shoot 60's easy-listening glamour and European grandeur in to the 31st Century, and tonight is a celebration of their debut release Exotic Pylon Recording.

Radio Joy present Beuys will be Beuys
An exploratory offshoot of the magisterial and defiant Band of Holy - Johny Brown, Inga Tillere, James S. Finn, Cris Lapthorne, Chris Brierley will be bringing piano, voice, electronics, violin and projections to present the debut performance of Beuys will be Beuys an incantatory tale of the eponymous Joseph running wild in the East End. Expect occult punk cabaret soundscapes.

Anne Pigalle
Where do you start? From the lush pop orchestrations of her dalliance with ZTT in the 80's through collaboration with Donald Cammell via Paris, London, New York and Japan with Gualtier, Lagerfeld and Michael Nyman. Born out of punk culture Anne Pigalle is a true and utterly incomparable STAR - poet, writer, photographer, singer, performer and painter. Her current work is based around her new album L'Ame Erotique and is a highly surreal and erotically charged cabaret that is equal parts Piaf, Cohen and Bataille.

Father Murphy
Doomed tragi-comic operatic free-blues - a monastic howl of funereal giallo rock... Father Murphy are sparse and incendiary and one of the finest bands in the world right now. Fresh from (highly appropriately) supporting Swans in Russia they're going to bring the house down in Grand Guignol style.
