HERMAN DUNE
A decade ago, brothers David-Ivar and Andre Herman Dune and drummer Cosmic Neman let go of their secular life and created the band Herman Dune. Out of Paris, all across Europe and all the way to New York City, they gained a formidable Cult Status with the help of UK DJ John Peel. Without stepping out of the DIY network, with tape and 7" releases and devoted bedroom labels, numerous albums were released. In recent years founder member Andre has left the band, but David and Neman have continued relentlessly, their first album without Andre, 'Giant', in 2006, attracting wider recognition. The album's opening song 'I Wish That I Could See You Soon' ranked in Rolling Stone US's choice of 'Best Songs In 2007', and is well known for its Sesame-Street-style video. Earlier this year the roaring success of the single "Tell Me Something I Don't Know", and its fantastic road movie video featuring Jon Hamm from Mad Men and a strange little blue yeti, was followed by the re!
lease on Fortuna POP! of 'Strange Moosic', the band's most timeless and accessible album to date.
"Innocent indie pop with a dash of wit is still the duo's raison d'etre and they do it wonderfully well on Strange Moosic." The Guardian
"Herman Dune's 10th album is undoubtedly their best, and there's no earthly reason why singer/guitarist/songwriter David-Ivar Herman Dune and drummer Cosmic Neman shouldn't be accepted as a different kind of pop star." BBC

SEAN FLINN & THE ROYAL WE
The affable, affecting brood of Sean Flinn and the Royal We hail from Portland, Oregon. Flinn's organic compositions hold both child-like cadence and a predilection for ever-maturing musical magic, like a wild-eyed tramp crooning pure truth, injecting finite detail, leaving nothing unverified and everything real in every note, every pluck of the string, every measured melody. His is a musical palate ingratiated not only by the wiles of the ubiquitous, rambling, road-weary minstrel, but also by more contemporary visions of first wave rock 'n' roll and R&B, not unlike the wide swath M. Ward casts. Their latest album "Write Me A Novel" was released last year in 2010.

"Flinn shows shades of M. Ward's eclecticism and the Shaky Hands' jangle-pop. It probably goes without saying, then, that Write Me a Novel is a very Portlandy record. That's a good thing." (Williamette Week)
