July's Liverpool Acoustic eXtra takes place on Friday 8th July, and once again we've got a very special lineup for you, all hand-picked from the basket of talent that is the local acoustic scene.

* The Kevin Critchley Outfit are well known for their big songs and even bigger sound, but for this Liverpool Acoustic eXtra gig they'll be going all out with a string section. Those who saw this at the Threshold Festival earlier this year said it was one of the highlights of the weekend, and the chance to see it in the intimate View Two Gallery is one not to be missed.

* Rachael Dunn is well known on the local scene as a confident and competent songwriter and performer. She's already supported the likes of The Acoustic Strawbs and The Animals, and is currently busy working on the follow-up to her debut album Alpha Ghost.

* The Good Intentions were originally due to play at June's eXtra but moved to this gig in July due to unforeseen circumstances. That's good news for you though as it means you'll be able to hear much more from their new album which they've just completed!. The Good Intentions are a three piece Liverpool band with a sound very much influenced by the musical traditions found Stateside. That's not surprising given that their music is recorded in the USA and has received glowing reviews both sides of the pond.

* Matt Reekie is one of those local musicians who we're amazed at having not booked before to play for us at the View Two. Matt will be playing his own blend of music inspired by folk rock and Americana.

Doors open at 8.00pm with music starting at 8.30pm. The night finishes at 11.15pm.
