TROUBLE BOOKS
A highly original and unique two, sometimes three, piece from Akron, Ohio, Trouble Books make stunningly gorgeous ambient pop.

They cultivate gardens of music lush with odd sounds, loops and drones to walk through and explore. Handmade experimental pop songs blossom from under synthesizer swells and guitar clouds, later to be buried in noise or drift into ambient atmospherics.

Keith Freud, Linda Lesjovka, sometimes Mike Tolan and an assorted cast of friends and neighbours create short songs that will emanate from the space between sleep and awakening and lull you off into their world centred on the little things of everyday life.

HONG KONG IN THE 60S
Occidental/Oriental, multilingual, all-Casio three-piece from London and Cambridge who recently collaborated with The Advisory Circle. Influenced by early electronic pop, 1960s Chinese music and Italian film soundtracks HKIT60s combine bittersweet pop melodies and atmospheric electronics to create subtly lovely nuggets of sub-zero musical wonder.
