Not The Same Old Blues Crap proudly presents: THE WILKO JOHNSON BAND + MYSTERY JUICE
Without a shadow of a doubt Wilko Johnson is The Man in British Punk Blues. When Wilko started out he wanted to recreate the chops of his hero Mick Green from The Pirates which he famously got wrong and unintentionally created the famous Canvey Island sound of Dr Feelgood. This sound has then influenced countless artists including the Gang of Four, Screaming Blue Messiahs, Jon Spencer and all the current Telecaster wielding art punks (whether they know it or not!). Wilko is still rocking hard as ever as his performance at The Spitz Festival in Blues 2006 testified.

Hailing from Edinburgh and the only non folk act signed to Fence Records, Mystery Juice take the batten of Wilko’s legacy into the 21st cebtury. Imagine '68 Zep jamming with Alex Harvey, G Love and the Black Keys on a set of Fall songs, then throw in some psycho-FX fiddle for good measure. By some strange quirk of fate The ‘Juice are bigger than The Beatles in Russia!
