At The Club Inn, Endmoor, near Kendal in Cumbria. A nice traditional 'working men's club' - previously Gatebeck Working Men's Club. The venue is about four miles south of Kendal, just up from Lancaster, right by Junction 36 on the M6. PLEASE NOTE: British Sea Power the band will NOT be appearing at this event. Roy Wilkinson will be reading from his book Do It For Your Mum - a story of family, music, the Lake District and British Sea Power. (MOJO magazine: "Spirited, comic... a Father's Day gift in waiting." ****). The acclaimed Liverpool poet and author Paul Farley will be reading from this recent book Edgelands ("A fascinating look the urban-rural interzones" - The Sunday Times) and also reading some of his award-winning poetry (Whitbread Poetry Award; 1999 Sunday Times Young Writer of the Year Award). Plus a full live set from Ambleside band The Indian Postal Service - progressive metal meets folk meets tribal house.
