DARREN HAYMAN
Darren Hayman plays a rare intimate solo show at the piano to promote The Ships's Piano album. Best known for his time fronting John Peel favourites Hefner, Hayman will be playing songs throughout his career from Hefner through to his landmark album Essex Arms and his January Songs project. The Ship's Piano is a subtle, drifting album of piano ballads written for people recovering from head injuries. The songs are pleas for calm, for small, quiet things which we hope to recreate at these special one-off shows.

"Darren Hayman is London's laureate of sexual dysfunction, discomfort, and dog-eared under-achievement. The match of Ray Davies, or any of the quintessentially English masters." The Guardian

EMMA KUPA
Standard Fare's frontwoman Emma Kupa plays a rare solo gig on the back of the bands recent headline London show for Scared To Dance. Standard Fare had a great 2010 that saw the release of their critically acclaimed debut album The Noyelle Beat. Cooper's music marries sharp kitchen-sink poetry about romantic/sexual transgression, regret, indignation and defiance to fast and furious melodic catchiness.

"A riot of hormones, cut-to-the-chase lyrics, bolshie girl-boy vocals and jingle-jangle propulsion... The best and most loveable aspects of indie guitar music." The Sunday Times

JACK HAYTER
Crawling onto the musical map in bands such as Hefner, Spongefinger and Dollboy - Hayter is a rotten gutted and scorched throated pedal steel machine. A distinctive songwriter who blurs the lines between the trad. folk of his influences and the London anxieties of his past with dirty fuzz, biting wit. His latest release Sucky Tart EP is available now on the Audio Antihero label.

"Compulsive and incredibly absorbing. Hayter's character and disposition comes across as wise, temperamental... the imagination to break from the usually tough (and boring/overdone/tiresome) grasps of folk." The Line of Best Fit
