Still a chance to gather friends and kinfolk for the following fine jesters...
- STUART GOLDSMITH
Recently seen on ITV1's Show Me The Funny, Stuart Goldsmith makes a welcome return to The Stoke, having performed at one of our first shows 4 years ago. Since then his stock has risen, as he's proved himself a warm, charming and confident performer both here and abroad. Stuart's infectious banter channels the effortless charisma and quick-fire timing honed over a youth misspent as a street performer.
'Sparky goings-on and charm to spare, as Stuart Goldsmith marries pitch-perfect audience repartee with cleverly woven tales of the everyday.' - The Independent
- TOM ALLEN
In 2005 Tom Allen won the competition So You Think You're Funny in Edinburgh and went on to win the BBC New Comedy Award later that same year. Since then he has performed at Just For Laughs in Montreal, Soho Theatre in London and has just returned from making his debut at Melbourne and Sydney Comedy Festivals.
Tom plays Pip in the Sony Award winning Bleak Expectations with Anthony Head and Richard Johnson. He has recorded two series of The Correspondent which he co-writes and performs for BBC Radio 4 and guest appearances on Loose Ends, The Stephen K Amos Show, Big Brother's Big Mouth and 2 episodes of the Dr Who Companion Chronicles. He also appeared in Channel 4's weekly TNT Show writing and presenting Dictionary Corner. Film includes Colour Me Kubrick with John Malkovich, Starter for Ten with James McEvoy and Mark Gatiss and the new Stephen Frears film, Tamara Drewe. Tom is currently 28. He was brought up in Bromley. As a teenager he was the youngest member of the Noel Coward Society.
