Your new favourite band? They're from Hackney.

We're bringing Oxjam to the borough for the first time ever - celebrating local talent with sets from the eclectic genius of Gentle Mystics, NME and XFM darlings Royal Treatment Plant, reggae heroes The Drop, woozy folkster Beans on Toast and Rinse FM's electro legends Shox & MA1.

With Dalston hotspots The Nest and Moustache Bar, Bar 23, Open the Gate and Jack in the Box (new venue!), Hackney's going to go off come 22nd October.

The event will also include special features, including raffles, face painting, a jumble and second hand record sale, cup cakes, so get your tickets, bring some cash and get involved.

Please note, once you have purchased a ticket you will be provided with a ticket code.

This must be exchanged for a wristband at Oxjam HQ (new venue Jack and the Box, 31 Stoke Newington High Street, N16 8BJ) on 22nd October 2011, in order to gain access to the festival venues.

The wristband exchange and first venue will open at 2PM. The festival will be taking place until 4AM.
