Event information

Future Of The Left were formed in 2005 as a direct response to market research which suggested that the perfect unsuccessful and ignored rock band could be created by melding together the remains of two largely unsuccessful and ignored rock bands from south Wales: Mclusky and Jarcrew. No pride has been spared in the fall-out.

“…Top-drawer stuff. While FTL share a lot in common with the short, sharp arrangements Mclusky were fond of, there's too much of a loose groove on many of these numbers to mark them out as a re-tread of them or Jarcrew. Live, FTL serve up a tight, blistering set of pulverising punk-rock witticisms and tear strips off the audience. The songs burn by in what feels like fifteen minutes, packed with as many ideas as chainsaw guitar riffs.” – Drowned In Sound

The Half Rabbits bridge the gap between dark, intense pop (Joy Division, Placebo, Pixies) and intelligent art-rock (Muse, At The Drive-In, Shellac). Gigging has earned The Half Rabbits a reputation as a fierce and commanding live act. Recent highlights include a blinding set at Truck Festival 2006 and a headline show at the Oxford Zodiac, no mean feat for an unsigned band. The 2 boy/2 girl Half Rabbits play literate music with honesty, passion and substance. They are one of those bands that make guitar music worth listening to.

“Aggressive and tuneful, loud without lacking subtlety, The Half Rabbits are a band with a rare combination of skill and confidence.” – The Cherwell

Onions For Eyes are a band with a mission to reduce music to a fine paste before spreading it on toast and pushing the toast through an amplifier.

“To me it comes across as a vitriolic unburdening set to a keyboard tune.” - Matthew Tilly

“That was the most fucked up half hour of my life” – James, The Escapade

Theo layers guitar loops and drum sequences, with friends helping out on extra instrumentation.
