Five years ago Damnably began with a John Peel Day show at the Windmill and to celebrate our 5th birthday we have 2 of the acts from that day and 6 more of our favourites plus Cake and French Toast!

Lazarus Clamp-
18years old 5 album beast of a UK act that began discordant and mathy, post punk and softened to alt folk country 5 peice.
Influenced by Albini's output, The Mekons and Silkworm.
The band will play a mixture of ancient and new material and release 4 of their back catalogue on damnably on Nov 14 together with '1000 years of Lazarus Clamp'-a best of album.

-irrepressibly optimistic, quirky-pop pinup boy with no less than 3 super fans, here launching his rock opera album 'Dinosaur Planet'.
Formed in 1999, Mercury Prize long-listed, Rolling Stone 'Album of the year', often playing 70 odd shows a year. He did a session on Steve Lamacq, a gig in New York plus had 2 million downloads in 2 weeks for Hey Hey 16k.
