SHADY BARD
Scruffily atmospheric indie folk songs, enriched by a miniature orchestra of pianos, guitars, casiotones, violin, cello, French horn and samples which burst occasionally into catastrophic scuzz. Influences include Spiritualized, Sparklehorse, Grandaddy, Sigur Ros, Teletext, pine cones, Elgar, fresh naan and chips, and ginger beer. On Static Caravan, they've played on BBC Radio 2, Radio 4 and 6music, and performed at Green Man Festival 2006.
