AIRPORT GIRL
Formed in 1997 in the East Midlands by singer-songwriter Rob Price, Airport Girl’s influences range from the Scottish pop sounds of The Pastels and Belle and Sebastian to the American flavours of The Modern Lovers and Pavement. As well as a number of singles and compilation tracks on various independent labels they have made one album 'Honey, I'm An Artist' in 2001, released on Fortuna POP! in the UK and Matinee in the US, where it topped the Parasol distribution charts. A new album “Slow Light” is set for release later in 2006 and demonstrates a shift towards a more downbeat country pop sound, inspired by The Silver Jews and “16 Lover Lane”-era Go-Betweens.
“Have Airport Girl yet to release a less than spectacular record? If they have I'm yet to hear it” - Tasty

MY SAD CAPTAINS
My Sad Captains are a London-based quintet who sound like Pavement getting a pop overhaul. Formed in late 2004, they expand on the standard guitar line-up by adding various other instruments, such as violin, melodica, keyboard, glockenspiel and samples. They produce an american alt-pop sound, touched with country lashes and occasional fiery noise outbursts. They attempt to play interesting melodic songs that hold people's interest. The band have been playing regularly in London and spend their time creating homespun demos. In summer 2005 they recorded six songs with Chris Sheldon (Biffy Clyro, Oceansize, Foo Fighters). They have supported the likes of Tilly and the Wall, Broken Family Band and Rumblestrips. They have also been praised by NME and The Fly, played by Steve Lamacq and featured on Nic Harcourt's KCRW show 'Morning Becomes Eclectic'.

ESIOTROT
Esiotrot are a 7 strong indie pop band from Brighton, meeting at university through a love of art and wearing cardigans. With a penchant for badly tuned guitars, they have often been compared to the Velvet Underground, Hefner, The Pastels and Beat Happening amongst others.

THE FISCHERS
Jamie played in tompaulin for six years and may well do again. David plays in the band Maupa. Lee plays in the wooden ships. Alvin has been seen with Vinny Peculiar. They claim not to sound like lots of bands, so let’s just say that if you're a fan of tompaulin you won’t be disappointed.
