Martin Stephenson is one of the most distinctive voices of his generation. Over 25 years since the launch of Boat To Bolivia he is still making heartwarming, intimate music delivered with humour and a dash of gentle insanity. He has hit a new rich vein of songwriting in the company of partner Helen McCookerybook, she of John Peel's beloved band The Chefs.
The Shakespeare is a local institution. A great place for live music and with a huge variety of beers and spirits on offer. All in all a perfect summer's evening.
