EATS TAPES
Eats Tapes are the Tigerbeat 6 duo of Gregory Zifcak and Marijke Jorritsma, who build and modify their own synths, toys and drum machines. Their debut performance for UTR back in January saw them bring their off-the-hinges techno experimentations to London for the first time and confirmed that their live show is not for disco purists or the faint-hearted. High-octane analogue beats compete with plenty of feedback and, naturally, cassette tape manipulations, breathing life back into the acid-fuelled heart of dance music.

LUCKY DRAGONS
Formed in 1999, Lucky Dragons is the band that never breaks up - the cut and paste digital derivative of musique concrete, melodic memory, splintery soft glitches, anxious dada and beautytronics. Lucky Dragons is Providence, Rhode Island's Luke Fischbeck, together with an audience conscripted to sing, draw, dance, touch, pluck or sew. It's an interactive performance piece that transcends the one-man-and-a-laptop approach to electronica, by encapsulating the crowd with sound blankets and tactile synthesizers, creating densely knit collages of ecstatic language, folk melodies and AM radio rave ups.
