THE BUTTERFLIES OF LOVE
The Butterflies Of Love return to our shores to promote their new album “Famous Problems”. Hailing from New Haven, Connecticut, they have previously made two albums (1999's 'How to Know' and 2002's 'The New Patient') of soul-searing melancholy and heart-stopping beauty. They rock too. They've had Single of the Week in the NME and glowing reviews in Mojo, Uncut, The Times, The Guardian and many more, been compared to the likes of Galaxie 500, Pavement, the Velvets, REM and The Go-Betweens, recorded sessions for John Kennedy at XFM and inspired the late John Peel to applaud on air. Their shows are wonderful, shimmering, intimate affairs and are not to be missed.?
"Yearning melodies and softly-softly harmonies (think the Go-Betweens), a back-porch swing (Lambchop, maybe), tentative yet high-tensile guitar work (Velvet Underground, Pavement)...whatever sorry state you may be in at the time, you must haul your arse to one of these shows." (Time Out)

DUSTY SOUND SYSTEM
Robin Bennett from Goldrush’s transatlantic, ever-changing rock’n’roll collective. Back in 2005, beset by unseasonal rain, a terrible cold and a succession of parties, he wrote the songs for his album in seconds flat and recorded them that same week with a collection of musicians recruited in bars, from bands like The Warlocks, Brian Jonestown Massacre and The Tyde. This time round, expect an appearance from Piney Gir.
“Nice rollicking country rock tunes and good vibes all round” Kittenpainting

GOLD SOUNDS
Gold Sounds have a long and illustrious history as Nottingham's 'most frequently re-named band'. Now living and working in London and with a name that points a subtle referential finger to their musical heroes Pavement, Gold Sounds have played alongside some of the great and gregarious; Editors, Simple Kid and indie heroes The Loft to name but a few.
"...when these four studious young believers get their heads down and give us a tune as delightful as 'Prints' - think David Gedge duetting with the Divine Comedy - they're a joy to behold..." Drowned In Sound
