Myshkin:
Myshkin writes with a dark and subtle wit, raw honesty, and a painter’s eye. Her compositions bear the mark of an artist who finds inspiration all over the map and incorporates far-flung musical ideas with a passionate ease: Folk Noir, Gypsy Swing, Tango Tronic, Other. Her guitar work is pungent and precise, her voice thick and sweet as cream, the interplay of elements hypnotic. The recipient of numerous awards in her old home town of New Orleans, Myshkin now lives in the mountains of Oregon, where she has founded an artists' community, hand built an earth-walled studio, and completed production on her 7th album, the lush and heady That Diamond Lust. The New Orleans Times Picayune calls That Diamond Lust: "Bewitching, intoxicating, a meticulously crafted soundscape that showcases the singer’s sumptuous alto to dramatic e!ect."
‘Darkly joyous, endlessly restless, and spellbinding. Gypsy, Celtic, cabaret and punk influences. A
masterfully mercurial, seductive voice.’ - SING OUT
