THE FONTANELLES will be playing the biggest event in the Dalston Vic's summer calendar when they play the annual afrobeat blow out on Friday August 10th.

The FONTANELLES are a 10-piece band, featuring some of the most highly rated players from the jazz, afrobeat and dub/reggae scenes in London. Having played with the likes of Mulatu Astatké, Owiny Sigoma, Johnny Clarke, Chartwell Dutiro, Tony Allen, Cinematic Orchestra, Zero 7, Roberto Plant, Plan B and many more, the band formed whilst playing for the five star rated FELA! musical at the National Theatre. They will be performing a four set of Afro Beat and the music of Fela Kuti.

There will be support from DJ Bass Bully playing Afro-Beat and Deep Groooves and a very special guest.
