THE ROSIE TAYLOR PROJECT
The Rosie Taylor Project came together in a redbrick Victorian shambles in Leeds. Their second album came out on Odd Box Records earlier this year and has garnered some great reviews from Sounds XP, Uncut and the 405 (amongst many others). With radio play from Radio 1, Radio 2, 6 Music and XFM. 'Twin Beds' is a product of the current ‘depression era’, where everything in life feels like an obstacle. Consequently, there is a renewed appreciation of the day-to-day and a reeling in of ambition (thematically rather than sonically), featuring ordinary characters with simple stories. The principle agenda is honesty, exposing the truth and offering some insight. Expect melancholy, pop gems worthy of their influences but marking out sonic territory all their own.

MAKING MARKS
Making Marks are from Oslo, Norway, and were formerly known as My Little Pony. They're the latest additions to the Fika Recordings label, releasing their debut 7" single in October.
Making Marks are all upbeat classic indiepop at first listen. Dig a little deeper, beyond the twinkling guitars and male/female harmonies and they've a much shadier, more sinister core.
Their debut single follows this somewhat darker-than-twee lead, exploring the vulgar, ugly and absurd side of life in a compassionate, beautiful way. Introspective while not reserved, it recalls the tenderness of Belle & Sebastian at their best.
They’ve gigged with the likes of Bonnie ‘Prince’ Billy, Asobi Seksu and Marit Larsen, toured extensively around Europe and the USA, including appearances at SXSW.

OWL & MOUSE
Owl & Mouse started as Hannah Botting and ukulele. Following some well received self released CDRs, Owl & Mouse have expanded to a full band with releases forthcoming on both WIAIWYA and Fika Recordings.
