TOMUTONTTU (FINLAND, FAT CAT RECORDS)
Tomutonttu is a creature who looks after all the dust. Jan Anderzen is a Tampere based artist who rearranges images and sounds and makes the music of Tomutonttu audible. Read streams, mutilated voices, groovy animal noises and records other people have made are some of the ingredients Anderzen uses to mold his ecstatic music. Jan Anderzen is also the leader of the band Kemialliset Ystävät and one of the most recognized Finnish experimental music makers. He's actively performing around the world and his discography is a labyrinth reflecting the nature of his art.
Often labeled as psych folk, his recordings have included such diverse instruments as detuned guitars, mandolins, balalaikas, toys, hand percussion, and samples from recordings by Sun Ra, Karlheinz Stockhausen and Vibracathedral Orchestra.

ISLAJA (FINLAND/ FONAL)
Islaja or Merja Kokkonen (born May 19, 1979) is a singer-songwriter and musician from Helsinki, Finland. Besides her solo career, she is a member of free improv and psych folk bands Avarus, Kemialliset Ystävät, and the trio Hertta Lussu Ässä.
She has been compared to an acid folk version of Björk, a female Syd Barrett, and to Nico.
Her music is notably psychedelic and very intimate using a large variety of instruments.
Her solo music is often rather ethnic sounding. African, Middle Eastern and less easily categorized styles can be heard.

HELM (PAN / ALTER)
Helm is the ambiguous solo moniker of London-based sound architect Luke Younger.
Although, perhaps best known as one half of the pioneering avant-drone outfit Birds of Delay, it is in the more esoteric work of Helm that Luke's art takes on its most radical shape. 2010's debut LP To An End confirmed that in an age of fleeting trends and fly-by-night fancies,
there were still a few old souls prepared to knuckle down and deliver the goods that people want to receive.
A Melange of fringe territories: glacial drone meditations, reconfigured gamelan clusters, and howling walls of organized feedback, all coalesced in classic UK post-industrial fashion. Indeed, had it been concieved of 30 years prior, it would be easy to imagine Cryptography winning a seat in the United Dairies, or Dom America catalog, such is its commitment to homemade exploratory zeal.

ASHTRAY NAVIGATIONS (American Tapes/Siltbreeze/Deep Water Acres)
Ashtray Navigations is an English psychedelic noise group centered upon Phil Todd & Mel Delaney, active since 1991.
Colloquially referred to as "Ash Nav", The group operate out of Todd's home in Stoke-on-Trent, England, from which he also ran the record labels Betley Welcomes Careful Drivers and, subsequently Memoirs Of An Aesthete. The project has also released music through labels such as Siltbreeze, Jewelled Antler, American Tapes, Menlo Park, E.F. Tapes and Freedom From.
Whilst the music evades easy categorisation due to variations in sound, approach and personnel, it often incorporates extended droning and lengthy guitar pieces. James Blackshaw described the Ashtray Navigations sound as "sub-aquatic synth bubble, busted-up cassette-tape hiss and distorted electric guitar hover that sounds like a mythical god banished from the realm of light and trying desperately to clamber his/her way out of a dark bottomless void where time itself stands still." The Wire's David Keenan has described Phil Todd/Ashtray Navigations as "a trashcan antidote to LaMonte Young."
