LET'S WRESTLE
With their witty, wonkily related tales of teenage ennui, thwarted romance and wise-beyond-their-years world weariness, raucous young London trio Let's Wrestle traffic in the kind of rambunctious, infectious, gloriously untethered indie rock which calls to mind slacker forefathers such as Pavement, Dinosaur Jr and Built to Spill, sending an instant shot of addictive melody straight into your serotonin while also lodging in your cerebral cortex with frontman Wesley Patrick Gonzalez's pithy way with a lyric. Last year they followed their already classic debut album 'In the Court of the Wrestling Let's' with the Steve Albini-produced 'Nursing Home' to rapturous applause.
"Urban Learesque pop-punk ecstasies that hook cheekily onto the frayed coat-tails of Barrett, Buzzcocks and Neutral Milk Hotel" (Mojo)

TIGERCATS
Tigercats are Duncan, Giles, Jonny, Laura and Stefan. Figuratively, they are made of Violent Femmes, Chic, Buzzcocks, Feelies, Hefner, Lonnie Donegan, and Life Without Buildings. Literally they are made of Esiotrot and Hexicon. They live in east London and make noisy music of open-hearted joy and sparkly-eyed adventure. If you like songs that start with intimate confession and end in furious vegetarianism, or studies of Konnie Huq's easily-forgotten role in the Beijing Olympics, you'll love Tigercats! Following singles on Haircut records and WeePOP! and their album Isle Of Dogs was released on Fika Recordings earlier this year to a host of sparkling reviews.
"Tigercats are a very, very good band. The kind of band that make you want to be a teenager again, so they can be your band." - The Sunday Times

OMI PALONE
There will always be a place in music for bands like Omi Palone. It's an oddly distant part of modern music, but theirs is the poignant simplicity of four guys hanging out, forming a band and doing their best to get their songs heard. It's this element of endearing honesty that makes them, in their Flying Nun/Jonathan Richman/Calvin Johnson/Eugene Kelly inspired world, just that little bit more loveable.
"Lovely indie garage rock music... the retro vibe and lo-fi sound, but without all the pretentious sycophantic bollocks. A fine example to a lot of bands of how to get the most out of fuzzy guitar pedals." (AppleJuice)
