MEURSAULT
A Scottish indie rock band from Edinburgh, formed in 2007. Led by singer-songwriter Neil Pennycook, the band's musical style has been variously categorised as folktronica, alternative rock and indie folk. The band themselves have described their most recent work as "epic lo-fi".
The band are noted for their use of traditional acoustic instruments such as guitar, banjo, harmonium and ukulele, accompanied by electronic sounds and beats generated by drum machines, samplers and synthesisers.
Their releases to date have been generally well received by the music and entertainment media, both in Scotland and on a nationwide level. In 2009 The Skinny placed the band's debut album, Pissing On Bonfires / Kissing With Tongues at No. 16 in their "Scottish Albums of the Decade" list; while their second full-length release, All Creatures Will Make Merry, has been reviewed favourably by a number of notable media outlets, including The BBC, Pitchfork, Bearded , Clash, The List and The Skinny .
PARASTATIC
Parastatic root regulus, Neil and Jon, with their dual guitar hypnosis found Richard, who brought the surging beat rhythms and melodies with synthesized handwriting integration. And so, in November 2011, Parastatic became six legs; a krautedelic ant that laid low in its damp basement, emerging sporadically to air the fruits of their labour.
The game press labelled these fruits 'an aura of shoegazey-goodness' and 'trance inducing'. The BBC Introgeneral, Tom Robinson cried last single - Far Beyond - to be "A Bangin Tune!" Parastatic were gladdened but not wholly satisfied, so the ant went back to the basement!
2012 saw Parastatic emerge fortified, mutually electroloud and jizzed up by the motorik artistry of Krautrock. This debut album - Lost Highway - will lay a direct impact. Parastatic render conniption via spacerock and a dance beat cabal, softened by an aura of psychedelic overtones.
For fans of NEU!, Orbital and Moon Duo. Parastatic is the stuff of life.
THE BALKANICS
With their unique blend of sizzling Eastern European music The Balkanics deliver a big-band seven-piece sound ranging from driving dance rhythms to dreamy interludes. Expect banging Balkan and Klezmer tunes with an unusual twist that reflects the band members' diverse backgrounds in traditional folk, rock, dance and classical music.
The debut ten-track Balkanics CD "Penelope" is available right now!
STEPHEN HUDSON & THE FIAT PANDAS
Stephen is a solo performer living in Lancaster, England who writes literate heart-on-sleeve pop songs about dog-walking and trashy magazines. He has played all over the UK sharing bills with bands such as the Guillemots, Stealing Sheep, Jesca Hoop, Francois & the Atlas Mountains and Race Horses.
In 2010, Stephen recorded his first single 'Tallulah?' above a music shop and released it on the fantastic Barnbox label. It came in a handmade bright red, piano-shaped case and quickly sold out after airplay on Steve Lamacq's BBC Radio 2 show and stations in Mexico and Argentina. Stephen recently released a follow-up 'Everything Electric', a 3 track single which has received lots of ace reviews (check the flattery section) and been spun on BBC 6 Music, Radio 2 and Radio Caroline.
This October Stephen will be putting out my first album 'Sleep for Railway Dreamers'. Me and my country-garage band The Fiat Pandas are currently booking a tour to celebrate it, so keep yer eyes peeled.

STATE OF REALITY
On the turn of 2011, 5 guys from the North West UK decided to form a band with an aim to positively stand out from the current british music scene. Using song ideas and riffs from previous bands and incorporating their own twists as the band State Of Reality. Since then the band have managed to captivate audiences; with an electrifying set of original songs, catchy melodies and enough stage presence to fill a stadium.
Their live performance is definately something not to be missed!
Afternoon from 1pm

PLAINVIEW
Plainview are a four piece band from Lancaster, with influences from the melodic guitar rock of Big Star and Teenage Fanclub, the literate songwriting of Wilco and Arcade Fire, and the musical textures of Bon Iver and Elliot Smith. Formed in 2010 around the British/Polish musical partnership of Darren Leadsom (vocals/guitar) and Michal Rogala (lead guitar), their broad musical influences have created an utterly unique sound with many memorable songs. Adding Marc Nellis on bass and backing vocals in 2012 has only strengthened the band, who currently work with a revolving cast of drummers.
They are in the middle of recording their first EP, produced by the band, which should be out by the end of the year.

MIRRORKILL
Mirrorkill are Discordian. They are Delight-ful, & are generally Delighted to meet you. In fact They are positively Delirious. They are certainly Disillusioned but They have Discretion. They are Dave, Dan & Di. They are Diverse - They may Diversify (or They may Demur). They may be Dangerous. Are they Divine? Are they Demonic? Doubtful. Are they Doubtful? Decidedly.
or maybe... Mirrorkill really enjoy making this noise, & some people really like to listen to it. & maybe more would if they had the chance.
Know, I now no.
PAUL LEVY
Paul Levy is a singer-songwriter from Newcastle upon Tyne, England who is currently living in Lancaster. With a background in traditional Irish music, he plays the guitar, violin and mandolin.
