Kill Murray
They've only been together as a band for just over a year but they've already made a number of people's lists of "must watch bands" of 2012. They've graced several local magazine covers, and their debut EP "A Drug To Shake You Up" is one of our favourite EPs of 2012. Their sound is a mixture of all of the previous bands they've been in (Dial F, 50ft Panda, Phantom Theory) best described as synth-grunge with some poppy elements thrown in for good measure - a bit like Dinosaur Jr playing Interpol. Check out the excellent 'Laser' or the awesome video for 'Miracle Man'. Best new Oxfordshire band of 2012? Come along and judge for yourselves...

Million Faces
This 5 piece indie/rock band from Witney impressed us the first time we heard their debut single Gone Fishin'. Their debut EP is full of catchy tunes and it won't take you long before you're hooked (no pun intended!). At times sounding like Biffy Clyro meets Stereophonics, they've built themselves a very healthy reputation in Witney so come along to the Jericho and see them for yourselves.

Go on, Do it, Jump
Not only do they possess one of the best band names around but they also (lucky for us and you) write and perform some awesome tunes! They've described themselves as a "indie rock melting pot, where a driving rhythm section blends with intertwining guitars and soaring vocals unafraid of catchy melodies and pop sensibilities". Exactly. Alternatively they also sound a bit like Biffy Clyro or an experiment between Jimmy Eats World and The Foo Fighters. With super catchy tunes they are definitely a new band on the rise.
