Gunning for Tamar are set for a big year. They have already had support from NME Magazine, Rock Sound and BBC Radio 1, 6 and XFM radio play and shared stages with Japandroids, We Were Promised Jetpacks and Johnny Foreigner to name a few. The band will be releasing their new EP 'Camera Lucida' on 18th March 2013 in the UK through Alcopop! Records and Hiphiphip in France, Belgium & Switzerland. They are working with Tom Stanley (The Cure, Maccabees) and Chris Sheldon (Foo Fighters, Biffy Clyro), who produced their last single Dark Sky Tourism. The band will support the EP with almost two months of touring in UK and Europe. Starting it all with their biggest hometown show yet, at the 02 Academy in Oxford.
NME: "Early Biffy Clyro wrestling with a bulked-up Future Of The Left. Discordant, full of energy and verve and supremely catchy - this lot are going to rule."
Artrocker: “Tight and technically proficient but also intuitive enough to keep things sounding organic” 4/5
This is Fake DIY: “Oxford quartet Gunning For Tamar cram as much melody into a rock song as seems humanly possible”
Rock Sound: “Never dumbed down or afraid of challenge, each track blends verve and curiosity to great effect”
