Bad Timing celebrates 11 years of live experimental, electronic and underground music events in Cambridge.


Steven Warwick is a Berlin based performer, also known for his work in the electronic duo, Birds of Delay. His approach is one of carefully thought out loops which are then sent into varying interactions and play. Active in the club, art and music scenes, Warwick's work is one existing in a liminal space, meditating both at once in real time and the "just past".

Heatsick uses various instruments including voice, keyboard and percussion to create saturated washes of tone, floating and disintegrating entropic loops, while also using deliberately broken continuity as a playful, live conceptual gesture.

The project is focused on repetition as a means of creating abstraction, drawing on sources from Musique Concrete and Psychedelia, through to the early Chicago House mix tapes, creating a unique and compelling sound.

His recent releases including acclaimed debut LP 'Intersex' have found a home on the Bill Kouligas's PAN label alongside the likes of NHK yx KOYXEN, Lee Gamble and Eli Keszler
