Donky Pitch & Be Nothing team up to bring an incredibly strong line up of hip hop driven electronic club music to the intimate Jazz Place, hosting the Brighton debut of Ryan Hemsworth alongside Ninja Tune's Slugabed, Ghost Mutt and our resident djs.

Ryan Hemsworth (Wedidit)

Canada's Ryan Hemsworth has had an incredible 12 months, producing for several of the new breed of American rap stars and releasing his solo debut on Shlohmo's Wedidit label. His productions take hip hop as their core, bursting out with synth filled colour, booming basslines and trill snares, perfectly showcased in his recent mix for FACT, that ended up in countless best of 2012 lists, which is full of his edits and remixes. FACT also highlighted Ryan as one of the top remixers around. Last year he toured across North America, receiving love from Pitchfork, Resident Advisor and Dummy Mag; we are super excited to host him on his first tour of Europe


Slugabed (Ninja Tune/Donky Pitch)

Slugabed has been part of Donky Pitch from the very beginning, playing our first ever show back in 2009 and appearing on the labels debut release late in 2010. Since then he has signed to Ninja Tune, released his debut album, toured the US twice (playing Low End Theory amongst other shows), toured Australia and South East Asia, remixed countless artists and established himself as one of the UK best exponents of electronic music. Sluga's sets are the highlight of any party and we welcome him back for a show where it all started, the intimate basement of the Jazz Place.


Ghost Mutt (Donky Pitch)

Ghost Mutt's last outing on Donky Pitch in early 2012, the universally acclaimed Sweat Mode EP, started a year that included a festival appearance at Glade, shows around the UK and Europe and a remix of ARP 101 & Elliott Yorke that received BBC Radio 1 plays from Skream & Benga. In January 2013 he takes his unique take on RnB soaked bass music to Australia for a series of high profile shows arriving back just in time to play this party.

Grinel

Grinel co-runs Donky Pitch as well as co-hosting their monthly show on Sub FM. In 2012 he played Glade & Secret Garden Festivals as well as club shows in the UK and mainland Europe.
