All three acts will be playing their usual material, but in a more subdued, acoustic and more intimate way.
Johnny Payne
Is a former pro-wrestler turned songwriter. He is the driving force and riff-machine behind Deer Chicago - the Witney based post-rock inflected epic rock band who just headlined the BBC Introducing night at the O2 Academy, in a triumphant return to live shows, and are opening for Dog Is Dead in week to come.
Tonight, Johnny will be playing Deer Chicago songs acoustically and a few songs he's written solo.
Noé & The Pastel Frontier
The leaders a new pack bands formed and based at Brookes uni that are breaking into the Oxford scene and having a big impact. Normally they're upbeat in-your-face indie-rock-pop with tidy riffs. Tonight it'll all be a little more restrained. Sort of.
Sweet William
Is the work of one Will Healey, former leader of Colour Change for Camouflage turned solo artist. He still finding his feet and incorporating additional musicians, but he's already played a BBC Introducing night at the O2 Academy and has got everyone on the scene's chins wagging. He narrative ballads hark back to the truest folk routes of that word, and seek to expand the concept of a singer with a guitar.
