COMICA SYMPOSIUM AT CENTRAL SAINT MARTINS

Comica, in association with Central Saint Martins, Sequential and Cass Art, presents its first Comica Symposium. Five hours (2.30-7.30pm - with breaks!) of fascinating and informative talks and panels by leading creators and publishers, all designed to offer professional enhancement and practical advice to students, graduates and others interested in entering the fields of comics, manga and graphic novels.

Participants include Brian Bolland, famed for his iconic art on Batman and Judge Dredd, and 2000AD, X-Men and Batman artist Frazer Irving, plus manga-makers from Japan, Inko and Chie Kutsuwada, a panel of top publishers and commissioning editors from Jonathan Cape, Nobrow and others, and Julie Tait, director of the new Lakes International Comic Art Festival, plus more special guests.

Tickets also admit you an exclusive preview from 6.30-7.30pm of a new iPad app for deluxe digital graphic novels, Sequential, with extra creators including Hunt Emerson and Terry Wiley. This is followed by signings and a reception in the Foyer Bar till 9pm.
