The New Foxtrot Serenaders will be making their first visit to the Old Fire Station with “Strictly Gershwin” – an evening of the best loved songs from George and Ira Gershwin including “I’ve Got Rhythm”, “They Can’t Take That Away From Me”, “A Foggy Day”, “Lady Be Good”, “Embraceable You”, Nice Work If You Can Get It” and many more. We are delighted to welcome our very good friend, BBC Radio Berkshire’s Bill Rennells as our guest compere for the evening.
The New Foxtrot Serenaders, a seven piece dance band, have been recreating the music from the first half of the 20th century since 1997. Their varied repertoire includes Trad Jazz, Ragtime, Charlestons and famous radio signature tunes as performed by the dance bands of the 1920s and 30s.
