This Edinburgh Festival Fringe 2013 preview* show has not one, not two, but three brilliant acts for you.
See these (almost) fully formed Edinburgh shows just two weeks before they are unleashed north of the border
Benny Boot: As Seen On TV
Following last year’s sell-out show, this year Benny (seen on Dave's One Night Stand) pre-empts his imminent fame by recording a TV special live from the 2013 Edinburgh Festival. However, the stakes are high as he's not been given the green light from the television networks. Benny continually blurs the line between reality and hyper-reality as he delivers another unique hour of cleverly-crafted jokes for his brand new comedy show. ‘Benny offers something unique. I'm not sure exactly what it is as I couldn't concentrate - I was laughing too damn hard’ (Rufus Hound).
James Cook: Adventures on Air
From drunkenly taking over a radio station at three in the morning, to turning on Nuneaton's Christmas lights, to shamelessly name-dropping Andi Peters, Morten Harket and Chico among others. Spike Milligan award-winning comedian, ‘sarcastic raconteur’ and ‘future Frank Skinner’ (Metro), James Cook tells the often hilarious, surprising and surreal true story of being the disembodied voice between pop records and exposes the myths about the world’s most annoying profession. ‘Truly original’ (Danny Wallace).
The Lovely Men
Prepare to fill a bucket with mighty treasures as four strapping yet amusing Midlands men crack open a case of vintage silliness in a greatest hits show that's been refined just for you. www.thelovelymen.com
* Comedians take one hour shows to the Edinburgh Festival Fringe in the hope of success, fame and fortune.
Before doing this, they relentlessly perform their shows at things called Edinburgh previews to make sure they are amazingly funny.
This show is just three weeks before the start of the Fringe, so it's just a case of fine tuning.
And all for your pleasure.
