John Stott London Lecture

The first John Stott London Lecture will be hosted by A Rocha at ZSL London Zoo, just across Regents Park from John Stott's lifelong home. The evening will mark John Stott's contribution to combining biblical theology (the Word) with contemporary relevance (the World).

The two speakers are:
Rev. Dr. Chris Wright, International Ministries Director of Langham Partnership International, who will speak on the biblical basis for environmental engagement; and
David Nussbaum, Chief Executive of WWF-UK, who will reflect on his involvement as a Christian working in a conservation charity

The late John Stott was one of the greatest Christian thinkers, writers and leaders of the 20th Century, as well as a keen birdwatcher and supporter of A Rocha's work and mission from its beginnings. The London Lectures were one of John Stott's initiatives, held annually each autumn on a subject that brought together the Bible and contemporary issues. Following John's death, several organisations he was closely associated with agreed to hold an annual John Stott London Lecture, hosted in turns.

This inaugural lecture is organised by A Rocha International in partnership with A Rocha UK, All Souls Langham Place (John Stott's church), London Institute for Contemporary Christianity (founded by John Stott) and Langham Partnership International (founded by John Stott).

Tickets include light refreshments after the lecture and half-price admission for ticket-holders to ZSL London Zoo on the day. A special bar code for Zoo entry will be sent once tickets have been purchased. Please note that the Zoo closes at approximately 5:30 pm, with the last admission an hour before.

Tickets will be £10 on the door if any are still available, but we anticipate high demand and encourage early booking.

The lecture will also be filmed and uploaded to www.arocha.org as soon as possible after the event.
