Euros Childs full band show in support of the release of his brand new solo album.
Formerly of psychedelic/folk rockers Gorky's Zygotic Mynci and one half of the acclaimed Jonny with Norman Blake of Teenage Fanclub, Euros Childs makes an eagerly anticipated return to Oxford for the first time since 2008.
When asked what kind of music he plays by taxi drivers or distant relatives Euros replies "It's pop music with a bit of folk music thrown in, sometimes synthesizers are used, sometimes pianos or guitars. But it's always rock n roll".

In January 2012 Laura J Martin released her eagerly anticipated debut album The Hangman Tree on Static Caravan as well as the EP Bonus Skor, a collaborative project she did in Iceland with Mike Lindsay (Tunng). Armed with a flute ready for wrangling, mandolin and a loop station, she sings over her loops and beats. Follow up album, Dazzle Days, is set for release this autumn.
Laura hails from the suburbs of Liverpool with influences that ricochet between Serge Gainsbourg, Wu Tang Clan, David Bowie and Herbie Mann. Mining the strange, darker underbelly of folk with untold layers of intrigue, she flits effortlessly between flute, mandolin and piano, as well as using looped vocals and instruments to great effect. There's an otherworldliness to the off-kilter, psychedelic feel of her music.
The Wellgreen

A blend of sixties songwriting, psychedelia, early powerpop The Wellgreen swear by vintage style recording techniques to make their records sound classic and timeless. The Wellgreen strip back the live performances to a completely organic two-piece, powered by their signature two part harmony. Accompanied by guitars, percussion and the retro casio tones, they offer a unique alternative to the full band sound, constantly captivating audiences with their intimate performances.
Having toured extensively across the UK with Stevie Jackson (Belle and Sebatian) and Euros Childs (Gorky's Zygotic Mynci/Jonny) as both support band and as backing band respectively, The Wellgreen are once again ready to get back out on the road and play songs from their forthcoming album as well as a few favourites from their very well received debut "Wellgreens"
