The line-up in more detail:

The Moo Man
A film by Andy Heathcote and Heike Bachelier
(2013, 98 min)

The Moo Man, which premiered in January at the Sundance Film Festival competing in the World Cinema documentary category, tells the remarkable story of a maverick farmer, Stephen Hook, and his unruly cows. Filmed over four years at Hook’s family farm on the marshes of the Pevensey Levels in East Sussex, the film follows his attempt to save the farm by turning his back on cost cutting dairies and supermarkets in favour of staying small and maintaining his close relationship with the herd. However his plans do not always go down well with his 55 spirited cows and the journey on which Hook and his herd embark is filled with many emotional ups and downs, by turns tear-jerking and laugh-out-loud.

“a gentle, genial and engaging film” – Screen International

“an endearing portrait of the kind of age-old family farm that’s becoming extinct in today’s mass-production marketplace” – Variety

“tears and laughter for a dying breed in this beautifully filmed documentary about a Sussex farmer […]one of the best British documentaries in many a moo-n” – Evening Standard

“fascinating, unsentimental yet tender film” - Daily Telegraph

DANA IMMANUEL is a singer-songwriter whose music reflects her eclectic influences, from Alice Cooper to Hank Williams, routed via the bluegrass turnpike around the township of alt-country. She studied Latin, Greek and Philosophy at Oxford, with a self-taught minor in guitar playing and country music appreciation, before becoming a professional busker on the London Underground and a poker tournament blogger. She will be playing an acoustic set including songs from her debut album, Character Assassination, which showcases her unique blend of folk, old-fashioned jazz and Americana overlaid with lyrics featuring a surfeit of wit and a lack of punches pulled.

‘Décharné’s research is impressive and unimpeachable, and he whisks the reader along in brisk and witty prose’ - The Sunday Times

Evening hosted by GUY SANGSTER ADAMS, writer, actor, performer, editor of P-TCP, presenting Cuban-heeled, Cowboy-booted flights of fancy and absurdist cultural observations in verse and spoken word.

“P-TCP is perfect for a busy chap like me; from bath, to bar, to Eurostar!” – Stephen Jones OBE, legendary milliner
