THE STRAWBS (FULL ELECTRIC LINE UP)

Event information

The Strawbs first hit the charts in the UK and Europe in the early 1970's with 'Grave New World' and 'Bursting At The Seams'. From the mid-1970's they concentrated their attention on the USA and Canada where their albums, including the classics 'Hero And Heroine' and 'Ghosts', spent over fifty-two weeks on the billboard charts. They toured regularly with the likes of Sanatana, Peter Frampton, The Eagles, REO Speedwagon, Joe Walsh, Blue Oyster Cult, King Crimson and Frank Zappa.

Rick Wakeman played with the Strawbs for two years before moving on to achieve worldwide success with Yes, and as a solo artist. The much-loved Sandy Denny made an album with The Strawbs before she joined Fairport Convention

Most recently Dave Cousins, Dave Lambert and Chas Cronk have been touring twice a year in the UK with an acoustic show. The tours have been a huge success with growing audience numbers year on year.

The full electric line up includes Rick Wakeman's son and only does a handful of UK dates a year, so don't miss them at Hullbridge!
