Live at the fantastic RGS Performing Arts Centre, Newcastle's contemporary choir, Voice of the Town, will be singing a range of great material from popular music, with their own unique twist. Singing big harmonies to Gospel standards such as 'Joyful Joyful', Classic Rock/Pop by the likes of Queen, Mr Mister and Elbow, and Soul classics by artists such as Gladys Knight, Festive numbers AND more, all accompanied by a tight live band, it's sure to be a great evening's entertainment to help get you in the mood for Christmas.
Furthermore, they are fresh from the recording studio after lending their voices to the Teenage Cancer Trust's Christmas charity single 'Here We Stand', to be released on iTunes soon. So it's a great opportunity to see the group perform their latest material, with ticket proceeds going to the Teenage Cancer Trust, a truly fantastic cause.
And we're delighted to have one of the North East's most respected and sought after Jazz/Blues vocalists, Ruth Lambert, supporting us and opening the event. Ruth has performed across the globe at various international Jazz & Blues festivals, and it's always a pleasure to hear her sing. For more info, visit: http://www.ruthlambert.co.uk/
