BABA YAGA'S HUT...
ACOUSTIC LADYLAND
http://www.acousticladyland.com
This most singular of bands loves to mess with convention, although there is nothing about this band that is tricky or arch. Of jazz, but not in the least inhibited by jazz tradition, and with a fierce post-punk attitude, Acoustic Ladyland simply create potent, soul-searching music: intense, life-affirming pop.
UNDERGROUND RAILROAD
http://www.myspace.com/urailroad
Underground Railroad are Marion Andrau, J.B Ganivet, and Raphael Mura. They provide a live show that sends you spinning. Politely devastating, they produce a storm of energy and anger, which demolishes everything in its way. They’re a gang of dirty, French mothers coming from the same district as AIR in the Versailles area, with a magnetism you can't ignore. They met in the grey city of Paris in 2003 with a common aim; to gig and gig and then to gig some more. The band have just about had time to set up home in London in 2005 and send shockwaves of anticipation through Europe's gigging circuit.
SUPREME VAGABOND CRAFTSMAN
http://www.myspace.com/supremevagabondcraftsman
Supreme Vagabond Craftsman first emerged from a low rent flat in Sheffield in 2002 with the frankly disturbing home recordings which appeared as 'A Cloud Punched Me' EP and ‘Twice As Nude’ LP. His was the sound of prospective landlord/tenant relationships, bringing to mind abusive hoards of stone throwing children grouped together on a nearby roof and the imminent threat of burglary.
