Brilliant Liverpudlian flute wrangler Laura J Martin is currently on a sell out tour with Euros Childs and this will be her first London headline show since the release of acclaimed new album ‘Dazzle Days’. Laura is joined by chamber pop outfit Left With Pictures who currently working on a new album with Wild Beasts’ knob twiddler Richard Formby.

‘Dazzle Days’ is the follow up to her lauded debut album ‘The Hangman Tree’. Her sophomore album was recorded over three months on a journey from Maghull to Hoxton via Reykjavík.
13 sumptuous tracks bumping into each other like a Brownian motion demonstration these audio vitamins bed down to represent Laura’s best work yet. ‘Dazzle Days’ features now regular collaborators Mike Lindsay (Tunng) on vocals and Benge who mixed and added synth, Enoesqe beds and Oldfield reverbs at his studio Play Industries.
Thematically expanding on the experience of producing a commissioned soundtrack for the BFI and with a burgeoning interest in golden age composers such as Sven Libaek and Francois de Roubaix. Laura also took inspiration from Jeremy Steigs collaboration album with Pia Zaidora. Imagine ‘Butterfly ‘starring and sound tracked by Laura Nyro, yeah that good.
The album will be preceded by the track ‘Red Flag’ as a pay what you want on band camp and promoted by a two month tour with Euros Childs both as support and a member of Euros’s band.

Left With Pictures started with three hard-up, classically trained musicians – Stuart Barter, Rob Wicks and Toby Knowles – who forsook the orchestra pit for the sanctuary of Toby’s parents’ loft. Armed with melodicas, guitars, violins, kazoos, ‘found sounds’ and a shoestring budget, they began with two self released EPs and have since gone on to release two acclaimed albums on Organ Grinder Records.
The band are currently in the studio with esteemed producer Richard Formby (Wild Beasts, Ghostpoet, Darkstar) working on their third album.
