SIP/SNIFF is a new tasting evening combining wine and perfume to help Londoners find their perfect match in wine and fragrance ahead of Valentine’s Day. For the month of love, the event will be based on experiences of 'blind dates'.

Whether you’re after a wine that shouts 'filthy', or a perfume that has 'cheap date' written all over it, Sip/Sniff’s co-hosts Odette Toilette and wine expert Clara Rubin have trawled the shelves to source aromas and tastes with the most exaggerated, outrageous personalities to correspond with all-too-familiar date encounters.

Stories on Broadway Market hosts Sip/Sniff where six wines and six perfumes will be showcased together in a series of themed pairings, from 'coquettish' to 'rich'. You’ll be invited to think about wine like a perfume and perfume like a wine (though stopping short of drinking it!). Throughout the night you'll acquire a whole new language with which to express two of life’s best luxuries.

You’ll sip. You’ll sniff... and you might just be seduced.


About Odette Toilette:
Scent-lover Odette Toilette has since 2010 hosted events and experiences that make fragrance more fun. From a make-your-own lickable perfumes masterclass at Somerset House, to a perfumed walking tour at the Tate and a collaboration with the Royal Observatory Greenwich on the scents of outer space, no theme is too strange to form the basis of an unusual night out.

This year Odette was shortlisted for the Cosmetic Executive Women Rising Star Award, and was a judge in the Jasmine Awards for fragrance writing.

About Clara Rubin:
Clara Rubin is London based twenty-something, grape junkie and self-confessed life-glutton. The world of wine today is a vibrant universe of young, energetic extroverts seeking a way to lick, smell, and taste life all at once. Feeding a new generation that long to break through the barrier of snobbery and snores to experience wine for themselves in a way that is interactive, hands-on, and relevant to their lifestyles.

Clara is a qualified wine educator and sommelier, having honed her skills at Restaurant Gordon Ramsay, Home House Members Club and award winning wine merchants, Berkmann Wine Cellars. Clara has hosted talks at the House of Lords and judged for the London Sake Challenge and as associate judge for the International Wine and Spirit Challenge.
