Bardens Boudoir presents the Winter Warmer
Errors
A new wave of electronica has arrived, and it's being ridden by Glasgow natives Errors. Fresh from supporting Underworld on tour, and headlining the Drowned in Sound Christmas show, the band are only going to get bigger in 2008. The expero-dance rock they produce, is full of melancholic soundscapes, dirty guitars and laptop beats. They really are the future of music.
"Totally top notch fuzzy guitar stuff meets proper sub-bass, zoop zoop noises and electrotech touches in a delicate, hard-to-pull-off mix" Vice
"Pretty damn special and slightly mental – like all the best things in life" - The Guardian
George Pringle
Garageband princess George Pringle is very "now", spoken word confessions cascading over D.I.Y electronica, creating a sense of modernity and honesty in her music. Her lyrical finesse and humour has won many an audience over, with song titles such as "I Know who Mogwai are too, darling" She has been called glitch folk, the new Lily Allen and many other things, but really, she is just herself.
"Shoegaze-pop, poetry and electronica" The Guardian
"Takes a blog-esque approach to lyricism and pulls it through a Death Cab-meets-Patti Smith-o-scope" NME
Sportsday Megaphone
A one man band, with catchy songs and a playful sense of cacophony. His playground rhythms are bashed out delightfully over grunge guitars and digital beats to create something original, charming and quite brilliant.
Stricken City
Girl fronted Indie, with the charm and wit of early Smiths, and the power of Patti Smith. They have the energy to knock the socks of their rivals, the style and sound to appeal to the obligatory east London set, and the pure pop sensibilities to appeal to the mass market. They really should be a massive hit in 2008.
