In The Glass Trunk Richard Dawson severed his discordant fingerpickings from the rest and gave us the beheaded remains; the larynx, the pharynx, the lips, and tongue of his perfect (yes, perfect) Northumberland bellow; in two parts.

That album was voted 4th best of the 2013 by The Wire Magazine who called it 'An abrasive and tender album of raw-throated, often a capella songs about murders, museums and domestic life, interpresed with stark electric guitar improvisations'.
