Trouble in the Fields: The Songs of Nanci Griffith, A Tribute - Featuring The Kennedys and special guest Edwina Hayes. Acclaimed Americana artists Pete and Maura Kennedy celebrate their two-decades long creative friendship with Nanci Griffith, presenting a full set of Griffith’s songs, spanning the range of the Texas singer’s career, and including classics not heard onstage since the 1980’s. Griffith’s impact in the UK has been formidable, and she is rightfully referred to as legendary. The Kennedys and their special guest Edwina Hayes will pay tribute to that legend, and Pete and Maura, who are lately making an impact of their own on the UK Americana scene, will present a brief set of original songs to kick off the event.
